New direction

I haven't blogged in so long, but my mom convinced me to start again. So many things have happened! Let's see... Jason and I got a new chinchilla a few months ago named Coco. He's technically a mosaic, but he's mostly white.

We had no idea until after we got him, but he's actually Momo's father. It's such a weird coincidence.

In February I started taking a course for a Personal Support Worker, and I've been working at Paramed since. I never expected to be doing this job. I'm also starting in September at McMaster again for the accelerated 2-year nursing program. So, my current job is already quite similar to nursing, and now I'll be gaining more expertise to build my career. I still think I'd prefer working with (non-human) animals for a career, but I'm going to start out in a field that pays well, and if I end up not liking it, I'll go back to school later in life. I want to be able to get a house right away, and being a nurse will allow me to do that. :) I'm excited. I think I'd like to go into neonatal. There's just something about cute, tiny creatures that calls to me.

Anime North Cosplay is... ON! ^_^

Yaaay, so we've finally started making our Final Fantasy 9 costumes! I didn't know if everyone would still be into it, but it seems that most are.



I am being Eiko... the little purple-haired girl. I'm probably 1/3 to 1/2 done making her costume already. I really want to get the costumes done early this year so I'm not rushing around last minute.

Soo, I also moved back to my mom's basement. I kept having to sneak around with my pets since they're not allowed in the apartment on Ward... so Jason and I will be living here most of the time until the end of the summer. The rent is cheaper here, too. Just a little inconvenient while Jason's still in classes at Mac, but.. we stay over at the apartment if we need to.

I love my Jason, my Luna and my Momos! and now I'm with my Mommy and my Ginny too. ^_^ <3

I have a feeling that 2011 is going to be a good year. It feels weird that it's 2011... that's such a futuristic date. So far, our little Momo has a cold, but hopefully he'll be better within a few days. I start Japanese 3ZZ3 tomorrow, and I have to meet with Sensei to discuss my speech for the speech contest. I'm already nervous! Speaking in front of a crowd in a different language is really not something I want to do... but Sensei really wants me to, and it will be a good opportunity. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself. *cringe*

I really want to get started on our costumes for Anime North 2011, but it seems like I'm the only one who is still interested. I might just have to think of a new idea!
